Kilvey House is designed to care for up to two children or young people between the ages of 7 and 17, of all genders, who require medium to long-term placements.
Kilvey House situated in Port Tennant, Swansea. The home has excellent public transport routes available from the home, it provides young people with the opportunity to develop independence, life skills and the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities.
As the name suggests, ‘Kilvey House’ is situated at the foot of Kilvey Hill. This presents excellent walking, mountain biking and hiking routes that offer panoramic views of Swansea Bay. The central belt of the hill consists of woodland and open grassland, which is also accessible via car. Swansea Beach is a ten-minute drive from the home, whilst dozens of spectacular beaches lie further West within the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Kilvey House is also located close to a range of activities suitable throughout all seasons. Local facilities include ‘LC2’ which features an indoor waterpark, surf simulator, 30ft climbing wall, multi-purpose sports hall, gym, spa and sauna. Three retail parks are located close by – the closest of which is home to a tropical zoo, cinema, and bowling complex. Other nearby activities include a trampoline park, excellent fishing spots, outdoor activity centers and The Swansea City Stadium – home to Swansea City FC and Ospreys rugby team.
Clubs within the region include Bon Y Maen Rugby Club, Swansea Athletics Club, Swansea Hockey Club, Swim Wales, Play Cricket, Play Netball, Swansea Bay Golf Club, and numerous football clubs.

I am Louise I am a very nurturing and bubbly character who has a Therapeutic approach and a natural ability to apply a PACE working style/environment.
I have worked in health and social care for 24 years with individuals age range between 0-90, I have a wide range of experience of working with children of all ages along with Adults with Learning disability, mental health, autism, elderly care, brain injury etc. I strive to empower children to have a voice and control over their lives supporting my teams to provide a positive working environment with stability and an ensuring they have a safe place to call home.
