Park House is designed to care for up to two children or young people between the ages of 7 and 17, of all genders, who require medium to long-term placements.
Park House is Located in Splott, Cardiff. The home sits opportunely close to the main facilities of Cardiff. A ten-minute drive from the home can take you into the city Centre, Cardiff Bay, coastal areas, numerous parks, retail parks and food halls.
Park House is also close to the City Centre and numerous bus routes. This provides our young people with an excellent ability to grow in their independence through developing their ability to learn their navigation through public transport. Equipping our young people to become independent.
The location of Park House presents fantastic opportunities for an active and engaging lifestyle. Facilities available within a ten-minute drive include The Cardiff International Pool and Gym, trampoline parks, Cardiff International Ice Arena, white water rafting, aqua park, food halls, parks, outdoor activity centres, Techniques, boat trips, fishing spots and much more.

Matthew Minton,
Manager at Park House
Matt has over 20 years’ experience in social care, including 15 years working with autistic children and adults with additional learning needs. He has a background in fostering in Rhondda Cynon Taf, and has spent his career focused on improving outcomes for young people.
Matt is passionate about promoting well-being, supporting individuals to achieve their goals, and creating opportunities that give every young person the best possible start in life. He is also highly valued for his supportive leadership style and commitment to staff wellbeing, always fostering a positive, inclusive team culture where everyone feels heard and appreciated.
Owen Cox
Deputy Manager
Owen joined Ty Caredig after completing a Psychology degree at Cardiff University. He has worked in mental health rehabilitation; secure and children’s residential services.
Over the past 2 years, Owen has worked across all of the homes in Ty Caredig and has loved bringing enthusiasm, compassion and a deep understanding of child development and trauma to the homes. He is passionate about delivering high-quality, person centred care and feels committed to supporting each young person, and the staff that work with them, to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
